6 feet sturdy silicone coated nylon webbing - rated "very not delicious" by a panel of esteemed leash chewers. The first ~18" (including traffic handle) is double-thick adding to chew-resistance*

*if your dog has carbide teeth and a gator jaw, they can chew through this - it's not "chew-proof", but it will put up a good fight.
